In the zine, there is no content. Therefore the typography only extends to the logo and page numbers. I experimented with three typefaces. All san-serif but a range of different weights. Typefaces below portray a modern and minimal aesthetics and all are used elsewhere in contemporary brands such as the typeface 'Ano' is used with the brand Acne, a contemporary high fashion brand. Below you can see the typefaces in context with the front cover. Overall, I preferred the typeface "Ano" (First typeface) It was more legible and more readable compared to the rest. The rest are more spaced out and thinner and may get lost within the image on the front.
*Update
I sent Hannah the first draft of the zine and she basically wanted to use a typeface she liked. The typeface 'Seravek'. It's put me in a tricky situation as I don't mind the typeface but she essentially told me what to do with it. She wanted it with increased tracking. It's frustrating because she didn't explain herself and she basically took over the job that I was brought in for. She is the photography and I'm the graphic designer. Plus she also changed the name, but in the end, I gave in and basically did what she said as she controls whether or not the book is printed or not!
