The first draft of the publication captures the very essence of the title of the book 'Occupy'. Meaning to fill or take up a certain space or time Occupy can be applied to the publication as a theme. The way I approached the word within the publication was by using the images within the book as objects that will eventually occupy the space. The image size starts very small and eventually through the book grow larger and larger and end up occupying the whole spread (I think Blogger has mixed the images up). Below you can see the general layout of the publication. Apart from playing around with the theme of scaling images, the general positioning of the images was arbitrary. The only reference I had to go on were a few publication Hannah referenced that she like. Alongside the references, I approached the book with a contemporary and minimal style to match the style of the photos and the feedback Hannah gave in the beginning.
