EP // BRIEF 4 // RELATED GAME // AUDIENCE

In discussion to target audience the key demographic would be all ages no matter the musical knowledge. But what's brilliant about the game 'Related' is that it can also be seen as an educational tool for people who want to learn more about music and a way for people to have a more in-depth understanding of music and even come away from the game with a number of artists they want to listen too. The game would also be a good opportunity for music lovers to boast their musical genius to their friends and this would in a way give the game a competitive aspect and an incentive to keep returning to try to better themselves. The only issue approaching the prototype phase of the game is the complexity for a certain degree of users who may not know a lot about music but still want to enjoy the game as much as everyone else . With this in mind, the game must implement different elements of customisation to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to play the game whether they only have basic knowledge of only a few artists and genres or an extensive library of artist and genres. The way we could approach this use of customisation within the UI would to incorporate elements such as progress bar and cheats/clues to again ensure everyone can play no matter their musical background.
