EP // BRIEF1 // CREATIVE NETWORKS // POSTER IMPROVEMENT

After the feedback from Joshua, I adapted the posters to his feedback to ensure no original pieces of Mikes work was used. The updated design for my poster used to type only and represented Hellboy's character in its entirety. The word 'hell' is an obvious choice to represent Hellboy's character but it's the other elements of the design that really gives the word 'Hell' a successful meaning. The use of distinctive colours of red and black with the combination of the gothic typeface/lettering depicts all attributes of Hell as being dark and fiery. The lettering lays on top of the rectangle, this decision ensures a contemporary style while the placement of the text at the front guarantees that I word can be easily recognisable and legible, avoiding being blocked by the rectangle.
