I asked a number of peers in my class what they thought of dictator and their thoughts about what I should create for my practical. The responses are as follows:
"They're very scary and creepy. Maybe you can create a video of some sort or an app?"
"Why are you doing that for?"
"I find them very interesting. I would try and create some form of infographic or poster that educates other people about different kind of dictators"
"erm, I don't really think about that topic much. But I find it interesting. I would do some kind of interactive app or a publication"
"Is Hitler a dictator? Can't you do something about Hitler or maybe you should avoid going down that route as it could be quite controversial"
"It's freaks me out! Erm, I would do a publication, educating people about the topic"
"You can produce a card game? Something a bit different and unexpected but I don't know if that'll be appropriate"
The responses were predictable. I knew some people would find the topic uncomfortable, even if they did say it, I could see the expression on their face, looking at me like I was really weird! However, they gave me some good ideas which need some further exploration.
