EP // BRIEF 9 // UP YER SLEEVE // CURRENT ARTWORK FROM ARCHITECTS

Below are the vinyl covers from the past three albums by Architects. The first vinyl you see (Circle design) is the album for the song 'Gone with the wind', the cover is using the iconic circle that is used in the video. It's hard to say why the circle plays an important role within the album but it could represent the pureness of Tom and the dark shadow around the circle could represent the darkness or death that is slowly approaching or cancer slowly filling his body. This interpretation could be wrong but this is my take as there is not explanation from the band.

As you can see from all three vinyl the circle cover is very different from the other two. The other two covers don't seem to take on any conceptual approach as they only use the logo of the band. All three covers are very heavy, dark and grungy. They all represent a similar approach to how metal bands are normally branded. The recent album is more minimal and simplistic and doesn't incorporate the band's logo which leaves a lot to the imagination, drawing you into the circle and seeing the pureness against the dark shadow which is approaching.
