The campaign needed a humanist, comfortable and personal feel, something that the audience can trust. It's vital to show that the church doesn't only have members who look weird or scary but the members are normal everyday people, people who look and act like your friends and family. Therefore, we invented two stories about two people who are members of the church. The audience can read the stories and experience of these two individuals. By reading both stories the audience can engage and start to realise that these people are normal, loving people while the stories can dismiss any negative myths about the church.
The individuals are a male and female to show the church is in favourite of diversity and that it isn't' male dominated which could seem threatening to many women.
Charlotte's story
Throughout my life I have always lacked confidence. It’s really affected my everyday activities, so much so, that at one point I couldn’t even order in a restaurant myself. I just didn’t have any love for myself, and picked at all my flaws. It was when I discovered the Church that things began to turn around. What turned into a normal Sunday afternoon browsing the internet, soon became a pinnacle point in my life. I began to research into acts of Self Worship, and the other truths of the Church of Satan, and I’ve never looked back since.
I now have unbelievable amounts of confidence in myself, and I can see the positive effects on my life everyday. It’s the greatest gift I could have asked for.
Charlotte's comments about the church
"Self worship? Why is it that you always see people worshipping so many other things but not themselves, why is that? People worship celebrities and even corporations such as McDonalds or Apple when they bring out a new iPhone. But why do we find it hard to worship ourselves and truly love who we are?"
Whether we believe it or not we are already perfect, and I think that to honour and love yourself is amazing. And that for me is the greatest gift the church has given me."

Cameron story
Before joining the Church of Satan, I always put others before myself. This usually ended up with people taking advantage of me, and relationships failing. I felt very lost in myself, and didn’t really know who I was. I discovered the Church of Satan through a mutual friend, and I haven’t looked back.
I can see such a profound effect on my life, and my relationships with other people. There’s a misconception that members of the Church are selfish, but this isn’t entirely true. By putting myself first, I’ve now discovered who my real friends are, and who I don’t need in my life, and also value these friendships more.
Cameron's comments about the church
"Whether we realise it or not the most important person in our life is ourselves. We are always there for ourselves so why shouldn’t we worship and honour ourselves? If you can really teach yourself how to love yourself and constantly implement it within your life you can share that with someone else.
By worshipping yourself you can worship and appreciate other people in a healthy and balanced way, knowing how good it feels."
