The approach I want to take with the vinyl cover is to move away from the classic clichè metal look. I don't want the overall look to be dark and scary. The attempt is to move towards a professional and stylish aesthetic whilst keeping a close conceptual link to the songs overall message. A lot of people who don't like metal music are often intimidated by the branding of the bands. They are often very gothic, heavy, intense and striking which does often represent the pace of the music; but at its core, the music is very positive and inspiring.
Whatever approach I take with the vinyl I want it to reach out to a majority of people who may not listen to metal. With all songs being secret from everyone else the concept will connect with the user before they listen to the song and this very aspect will give the listener an incentive to listen to the track if they feel inspired or connected to the conceptual message within the cover art.
