The development of the idea started by seeing how it could be applied via a website. The website an efficient template to work with when testing out ideas. But if all goes well then the style and approach can easily be applied to the publication and other collateral. The idea again is to educate people about dictators but to also show the contrast between the oppressive side that people outside the country saw and the love the people had for the dictator inside the country. The website would be laid out into two sections. One side would act as the left and right, representing the political leftist and right-wing. The left would be more reasonable and tell the truth of what happened, the right would be people in favour of the dictator which would consist of poems, love letters and excuses.
How the start of a dictator page would look. Minimal look, introducing the dictator.
Adolf Hitler would be introduced. The left would give an honest description but the right would be either a poem or letter, praising him.
Next page would discuss Auschwitz. Again, the left will get an honest explanation of the horrors involved with the concentration camp and the right would make an excuse for the Nazi party for the camps.
*Update
Upon further thought, this approach of left and right would be very insensitive. The topics I'm talking about are very sensitive and should be presented in a respectful manner. By using the right-hand side to excuse what happened with Hitler and Auschwitz isn't the approach I should take. It somewhat glorify's what happened. There shouldn't be no excuses, these things happened and it should be told how it is. The idea of having poems from people within the country is still something I may proceed with as it gives an insight of how manipulating the dictators were, enough that the people fell in love with this god-like figure. But having parts of the page that excuse war crimes isn't the correct way.
