EP // BRIEF1 // CREATIVE NETWORKS // FEEDBACK

As soon as we were told that we had won the brief, Joshua brought us into his office near the uni to give us final feedback on the work.(feedback discussed within feedback blog post)

Animation

Starting with the animation, Joshua wanted to completely drop and disregard the introductory animation all together. Joshua didn't clearly state his reasons for that choice but he exclaimed that there was no need for such an energetic and dramatic animation. It was too technical and too much in terms of what a college was after. If it was too out there for the Uni that's completely understandable and these thoughts did cross my mind when creating the animation. It is very high tempo and fast paced and maybe didn't correspond with the true message of professionalism. It seems the Joshua wanted something more minimal with maximum flexibility in regards to efficiently adapting and changing the loop for the next speaker. The feedback on the looping animation was more positive, Joshua stated that it was perfectly fine but to make the loop and transition more fluid and effortless, so the animation can come in and out for a continuous five minutes.

Posters

There wasn't any detailed feedback or changes regarding the posters and the rest of the collateral. Joshua deemed it 'professionally strong' and 'very solid'. However, there was one piece of feedback... making sure the event steered clear of using any original artwork. Joshua told us to avoid using any original images of Mike's work in the background of the posters or flyers as the college may get in trouble for as it could cross into copy write. Continuing from this, Joshua stated to manipulate the original artwork and create it in a more abstract or creative manner. This would allow the use of the original image but as it would be slightly skewed version it avoids any issue with copyright.
